The background story :
I was praying for a family who had been navigating a severe “life storm” for over 12 months. While I prayed, a picture came to my mind; it depicted a sailor standing at the helm of an old sailing boat. He was gripping the wheel with all his strength as his vessel faced huge waves and the dark stormy seas. Suddenly, Jesus came into the scene, he stood behind the sailor, reached over and put his hands over the sailor’s hands. Then He said “I’ve got this. Now lean back on me”.
I felt prompted that I was to paint this scene although, as usual, I felt it was beyond my ability. I just knew I had to pick up the paint brush and let Him paint it through me.
